How It's Made

Each round soap tray is 3D printed fresh to order in our little UK workshop, which means no warehouse full of stock gathering dust — your item is made specifically for you. We use eco-friendly, plant-based PLA plastic, and because every piece is printed by hand, very small layer lines may be visible. We think that's part of the character.

Can I choose a pattern and colour? Is it customisable?

Why does bar soap go mushy in a normal dish, and does a draining tray actually help?

A flat soap dish traps water underneath the bar, so it sits in its own puddle and turns soft and slimy within a day or two. Raising the soap above the base — which is exactly what both the Fin and Ridged patterns in this tray do — lets water run off and air get underneath, so the bar dries out between uses and lasts noticeably longer.

Can I use this at the kitchen sink as well as in the bathroom?

Absolutely — it's designed to work just as well holding a bar of washing-up soap by the kitchen sink as it does with a bar of soap in the bathroom. The drainage gaps do the same job in either room: keeping the bar dry, tidy, and off the sitting water that usually collects underneath a flat dish.
